Cassie & Dakota Pittman

Rosewood Chapel

Gainesboro,, TN

I absolutely fell in love with Cassie & Dakota the first time I met them! These two are such humble people, are absolutely adorable, and their freakin’ crazy about each other! We met these two back in February, as they were one of our engagement session giveaway winners! We got to shoot their engagement session in the March timeframe and literally fell in love with their energy!

As we rolled into their wedding day, again rain was in the forecast, but everyone just ignored this small detail (I mean who needs to worry about rain on your wedding day)! Starting with their bridal party, oh my goodness how much FUN they were! Dakota’s groomsmen were made up of his brothers and close friends and these guys went from cutting up, to playing music, to just being there for each other all day! Was just awesome. And as we moved over to Cassie and her girls, they we’re much different!

The ceremony was set to get kicked off around 5:30 that evening! Dakota’s older brother officiated the ceremony and added a personal touch that was second to none! Mid-way through the ceremony, Cassie & Dakota exchanged incredible vows, which left few eyes dry by the time this was over! As the ceremony continued, out of nowhere some crazy storm clouds rolled up! I mean it went from sunny and beautiful to, OH MY GOODNESS where did this come from! So with a light rain starting, Dakota’s brother (the officiant) acted quick and rushed through the ring exchanges, etc. The moment that he said “you may now kiss your bride” 30-40mph wind gusts took off, picked up all kinds of leaves, that looked like confetti blowing through the air. Talk about magical and a God thing! Just awesome and the best first kiss I have ever witness to date!

Rolling into the reception the rain did continue, but fortunately we moved everything indoors, and got to sneek them out for some dancing in the rain footage before the night was up! Just magical!

We got to find our way back to Rosewood Chapel, just south of Cookeville, TN. Glenn and his crew there at the venue never disappoint and have a breathtaking courtyard and old chapel! The photographers were part of Dakota’s family and were freakin awesome to work with! They made the entire day fun and interesting and have got some mad skills behind a camera! Go check them out @crystalphotographyco & @pittmanadam !
